A pilot plant design and performance for biomethanation of non-edible oil cakes

P. Radhakrishna and K.G. Gollakota

Energy, 1989, vol. 14, issue 11, 771-772

Abstract: Generation of biogas has largely dependend on animal excreta. Generation of biogas from agro-industrial wastes has now been successfully demonstrated. In this process, a very stable and efficient microbial consortium was isolated and stabilized to generate biogas from non-edible grade oil cakes. This process is suitable for household and small scale industry.
