Abstract:
Using day-numbers, we may determine the total extraterrestrial radiation incident on a horizontal surface for an entire year and also for the heating and cooling seasons. Based on theoretical analyses and a large number of calculations, we present correlations that allow the rapid and precise determination of typical day-numbers for an entire year and for the heating and cooling seasons.
