Experimental studies on upward-type double-effect solar distillers

Abstract:
Application of the multiple-effect concept to the direct utilization of solar energy in upward-type distillers has been investigated experimentally. It is found that an upward-type, double-effect solar still is more effective than a downward-type still because it may create free-convection while reusing energy.
