CO2 increase: Questions beyond climatic change

Abstract: A steady increase has occurred in the tropospheric CO2 concentration. Whereas the danger of the greenhouse effect has frequently been discussed, the question remains open whether the CO2-rise can have a direct detrimental effect on the biosphere.
