Energy savings at the Rifa'a power station with a combined-cycle system for water production

N.S.Al Baharna and N.A.Al Mahdi

Energy, 1991, vol. 16, issue 4, 713-720

Abstract: Energy costs may be decreased while meeting increased production demands by using a combined cycle to produce electricity and desalinated water. Utilization of the energy associated with the flue gases produced by the existing power plant could yield a 14% saving in gas use in Bahrain.
