Static gain and gain ratio of the thermal-response factors for building-energy analysis

Abstract:
The thermal-response factors derived from the one-dimensional heat equations are briefly reviewed. By using the static gain and the response-time concept, a gain ratio instead of the common ratio is proposed. This concept allows us to improve the thermal performance in using thermal-response factors for building-energy analysis.
