Abstract: The Indian research ship R.V. Gaveshini made cruises during the Monex 79 expedition period in both the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal for wave observations using a wave recorder. From these wave measurements, the wave power potential has been computed off the Indian coasts during the period of observations.
