Abstract:
An analytical model of radiative heat transfer to a horizontal tube in fluidized beds has been developed. The model shows an increase in radiative heat transfer when the gas is considered to be a participating medium. The model results are compared with published experimental results and show good agreement. Finally, a parametric study is performed to show the effect of different bed parameters on radiative heat transfer.
