Abstract:
Models used for the design of air-compression systems often lead to non-linear equations which can be converted to linear systems. In this paper, a new algorithm is described for the solution of linear equation systems which have normal or ill-conditioned structure. This algorithm and the Gauss elimination method were applied to a two-stage air compressor with intercooler. The solutions obtained by using two different methods are compared.
