DSM survey in India: Awareness, barriers and implementability

Abstract: This paper provides results of a survey on DSM programs for the high-tension industries of Maharashtra. Technical potentials, costs, savings and the need for financial mechanism are covered. The types of programs industries prefer and needed incentives, extent of participation, agencies suitable for implementation, and barriers to implementation are highlighted. Policy measures are suggested for the efficient implementation of DSM plans.
