Some empirical findings of an Austrian appliance turn-in program

Reinhard Haas

Energy, 1996, vol. 21, issue 1, 55-60

Abstract: We present the results of an Austrian appliance turn-in program and document major performance features. This program is of interest because it was launched in 1989 and was the first comprehensive rebate program for household appliances in Europe. Although not a state-of-the-art design, the program provides useful insights and performance data.
