First- and second-law efficiencies for laser drilling of stainless steel

Abstract:
The first- and second-law efficiencies for laser drilling have been investigated. These efficiencies improve at a given ambient gas pressure for a 1 mm thick workpiece and decrease with workpiece thickness.
