An energy process-step model for manufacturing paper and paperboard

Luis Giraldo and Barry Hyman

Energy, 1996, vol. 21, issue 7, 667-681

Abstract: A process-step energy-consumption model for the production of paper and paperboard is presented. The model is consistent with data published by the U.S. Department of Energy's 1991 Manufacturing Energy Consumption Survey (MECS). The applicability of the framework to other industries is discussed.
