Abstract:
Steel manufacturing is energy-intensive and hence a significant contributor of CO2 emissions. We project steel demand in India using regression analysis. A linear dynamic programming model has been developed to analyse the supply options and estimate the energy demand and CO2 emissions from the industry for the period 1992 to 2021.
