An overview of ozone-safe alternatives for R-502

Selahatti̇n Göktun

Energy, 1998, vol. 23, issue 5, 379-381

Abstract: An overview of newly developed blends as substitutes for R-502 is presented. Comparisons are made in terms of ecological and thermophysical properties for blends. Four blends with HCFCs (R-402A, R-402B, R-403B, R-408A) and five blends without HCFCs (R-404A, R-407A, R-407B, R-507 and quaternary HFC) are promising alternatives to R-502 for low-temperature applications.
