Abstract:
Enhanced investiture to distribution generation (DG) had moved for alteration of existing networks for developing microgrid which can function autonomously or together with grid. Dynamic optimal power flow (DOPF) for isolated microgrid incorporating renewable energy sources has been studied here. The DOPF problem has been solved by using elephant clan optimization (ECO) algorithm, self-organizing hierarchical particle swarm optimizer with time-varying acceleration coefficients (HPSO-TVAC) and grey wolf optimization (GWO). The IEEE 33-bus system, IEEE 69-bus system, IEEE 118-bus system and real existing isolated microgrid of 15-bus system have been used for validation. In all the four test systems, the cost obtained from ECO is the lowest among all the three techniques.
