Economics of geothermal energy development (In Imperial County, California)

Stahrl Edmunds

Energy, 1977, vol. 2, issue 1, 25-31

Abstract: The geothermal resources in Imperial County appear to have the potential of developing somewhere between 3000 and 6000 mW of power. At 3000 mW, the geothermal energy would add 9% to present installed capacity in California. By the year 2000, geothermal energy might supply about 4–5% of total capacity at that time.
