Abstract:
This study provides a comprehensive analysis encompassing experimental characterization, durability assessment and numerical modeling to evaluate the suitability of two natural magmatic rock groups —including felsic (granite and granodiorite) and mafic (gabbro) lithological rocks— for use in rock-bed thermal energy storage (TES) systems at medium (120–400 °C) and high (300–600 °C) temperatures.
