Abstract:
To manage the variability of wind and solar power and ensure the clean energy supply, constructing multi-energy hybrid systems based on cascade hydropower has gained attention. However, few studies conclude multi-type cascade hybrid pumped storage considering multiple comprehensive utilization demands, which may misalign with real-world operations and impede the energy transition. The research explores multi-energy complementary operations considering complex comprehensive utilizations tasks, quantifying the efficiency of different pumped storage power stations. First, short-term power generation databases of different energy structures are constructed based on multiple uncertainties. Next, considering multiple comprehensive utilization tasks, a long-term multi-objective hydropower coordinated scheduling model is developed with the synergetic theory. Finally, based on multivariate 3D power generation databases and Delaunay triangulation, a long-term and short-term nested framework is established for multi-energy complementary systems with a layered progressive logic. The main conclusions are as follows: (1) Compared to single-objective scheduling, the ORALL and ORANEC of the power generation system decrease under multi-objective scheduling. (2) HWPPHS and HWPRPHS perform well across different objectives and are superior to HWPHS in terms of power supply assurance and new energy consumption. (3) The orderliness of the power generation system under different energy structures increases as runoff characteristics become more abundant.
