Abstract:
The use of abandoned goafs in gypsum mine as oil storage facilities represents a novel approach to oil storage. To understand the damage state of gypsum rock under oil immersion, acoustic emission (AE) data of gypsum rock in compression experiment with different oil immersion time were collected. And an oil-immersed gypsum rock damage constitutive model was developed. The conclusions include: (1) Under uniaxial compression, the non-immersed samples generated significantly higher ringing counts during failure stage than the oil-immersed samples, indicating that oil immersion softens the gypsum and reduces its brittleness. In triaxial compression, the ringing counts of immersed samples showed little difference, suggesting that the confining pressure mitigates the effect of oil immersion time on AE ringing counts. (2) During uniaxial testing, the proportion of AE ringing counts was highest in the elastic stage, while under confining pressure, the highest proportion occurred during the failure stage. This indicates that the confining pressure restricts damage in the elastic stage and leads to the instantaneous release of energy stored in the early stages of loading during the failure stage. (3) Based on the cumulative ringing count, the rock damage variables are calculated and the statistical damage constitutive model of oil-soaked gypsum rock is constructed.
