Using total site heat integration TSHI and intensification to enhance the mega fertilizer plant’s power system stability and plant sustainability

Benamar Tedjini and Hassiba Benyounes

Energy, 2025, vol. 334, issue C

Abstract: This work contributes to studying and optimizing the electrical network of a mega fertilizer plant, which is frequently subjected to blackouts due to partial failure in its power-heat generating system, reduction of heat quality generated from waste heat recovery, and cold utility duty. These problems led to high dependency on the public power grid.
