Power generation in South Africa to the year 2000

Abstract: A brief outline of a plan for energy and power generation for South Africa to the year 2000 is presented. The ultization of energy and the growth in the demand for electricity are examined. Some guidelines for the future diversification of electricity generation, i.e. the use of coal, nuclear energy and hydro-electric power are outlined. Details about the application of computer models for the planning of the power generation system are also given.
