Reflections on the energy problem as a whole

Abstract: The energy crisis has been and is still being regarded as an aggregate of discrete economic and technological problems confronting the economic and political leadership of individual nations. The forecasting of the evolution of these problems is generally confined to the time frame of two decades or so, typically to the end of the century.
