Abstract:
The overall effectiveness of fuel use for heating homes electrically is comparable to that for combustion systems in the home. Generation of electricity from domestic resources of coal and uranium and its economic use for home heating should be retained as an option in any strategy for providing a secure supply of energy for the United States in the future.
