New energy technologies for power generation

Abstract: Intensive R&D activity in the recent years is responsible for the development of various new technologies for power generation including fluidized bed combustion systems, gasifier-combined cycle plants, fuel cells and magneto-hydrodynamic power plants, advanced nuclear technologies such as fast-breeder reactor and fusion technology and renewable technologies such as solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and ocean-thermal conversion plants.
