The international mobility of French managers

Abstract:
The international mobility of managers is a preoccupation of an increasing number of companies faced with the recruitment of the mobile manager. The study described in this article suggests that, today, French recruiters look for adaptability as the essential quality of the mobile manager. In France, the vast majority of managers recruited for an international career are French, and their career often starts with their integration into increasingly formalised high-potential groups within their company. Over recent years, the training of the mobile manager in France has been a priority for international groups and current efforts are likely to continue to develop and maintain the mobility of existing and future managers.
