European Management Journal, 2001, vol. 19, issue 4, 417-423
Abstract:
Following interviews with financial service companies in the European Union, the authors propose an 'E-Agenda' for corporate parents or corporate centres in the light of the Internet and e-commerce. The Agenda consists of three broad elements: Existing business initiatives; New business ventures; Corporate level strategy review. The parental role or model faces a large range of options as a result of the Internet and e-commerce; the authors' E-Agenda will help companies to navigate these options.
