The management of the development process in developing countries a needs based perspective
Andrew Kakabadse
European Management Journal, 1985, vol. 3, issue 2, 112-118
Abstract:
Management development in developing countries requires processes and approaches which may differ substantially from those assumed to be normal in industrialised societies. The growing European concern with helping management development in the emerging countries formed a basic theme of EFMD's annual conference at IMI in Geneva in May 1985. In this, one of the keynote papers, the author suggested that style approaches based upon development needs was the most appropriate way forward.
