Abstract:
Audi AG have recently become much more visible through their advertising and public relations, and have positively enhanced their long standing reputation for the excellence of their products. This article shows that these are only outward manifestations of deep seated changes in the way that the organization views itself and its business, and a substantial self-conscious drive towards the pursuit of excellence through its people. This article was originally delivered as a paper to the Excellence Exemplified Conference of the European School of Management Studies in Oxford in March 1985.
