Developing classic systematic literature reviews to advance knowledge: Dos and don'ts

Abstract: This article provides ideas, suggestions, 12 Dos and 5 Don’ts while developing a classic systematic literature review. It summarises 20 papers accepted and published in the special issue – Systematic literature reviews in management research – of the European Management Journal. Since these articles are carefully selected based on extensive reviews, readers will be able to learn more about how to develop an impactful systematic literature review by going through this article.
