Abstract:
As Europe gears up to a Single Internal Market, so there is greater need for information to allow the investor to compare companies operating in the several European countries. Financial information on profits, asset values, return on investment, etc are published in Annual Reports. But problems of interpretation still remain if one wishes to compare performance between, say, a French and a British company, or a Spanish and a German one.
