Management work -- telling it like it is

Jean-Louis Barsoux

European Management Journal, 1989, vol. 7, issue 2, 169-171

Abstract: For a long time the work of managers was perceived as rational and pro-active. Jean-Louis Barsoux takes us through a reappraisal which leads to the view that it is chaotic or (more recently) inactive. Future studies of management work may focus on its passive, reactive nature.
