L'Entreprise et L'Ethique
Philippe de Woot
European Management Journal, 1990, vol. 8, issue 1, 90-95
Abstract:
The growing internationalisation of business and corporate power are increasingly bringing to the fore the question of ethics in business. Technical progress makes nuclear war a practical proposition; it also seems powerless to stop millions from dying of hunger. The real questions which should be answered when assessing technical "progress" have to be: Why?, For whom?. How? Philosophers and economists alike have wrestled with these issues. Every individual, every profession and every business have their own specific ethical problems. It is essential that these should be articulated, analysed and understood.
