Abstract:
Management development is facing challenges from new ways in which human resources are being organized and designed in corporations. Consequently, management training needs to be looked at again. These new ways are set against the background of the role of technology and market strategy. The authors conclude that management development in firms will become more entrepreneurial, with firms making people their principal competitive weapon. Changes in management attitudes will result from management development.
