Planning for crisis: How to cope with the wolf at the door
Dieudonnée Ten Berge
European Management Journal, 1991, vol. 9, issue 1, 30-35
Abstract:
The wolf at the company door is more likely to be a crisis than anything else these days. Dieudonnée ten Berge points to the rising number of crises and their intensity and emphasizes the importance of planning and communications. Knowing that there are common denominators in a crisis is helpful, although each particular crisis should have a tailor-made solution. The psychological reactions to crises are also somewhat similar and knowing these is instructive. Crises happen more frequently these days to companies. The keys to their resolution lie in the words -- Planning and Communication.
