Developing a private sector
Stephen Desmond Watkins
European Management Journal, 1991, vol. 9, issue 2, 167-170
Abstract:
Desmond Watkins argues that the UK experience of privatizations of industry cannot automatically be followed elsewhere with success. Referring to developing countries and Venezuela in particular, he describes the promising route by which international banks provide capital for projects in developing countries against some form of "partnership" interest in these projects. Case studies are given for such projects in Venezuela.
