The outlook for Soviet business schools
Andrei Manoukovsky
European Management Journal, 1991, vol. 9, issue 2, 182-185
Abstract:
In this paper, the Director of the International Business School in Moscow laments the weaknesses of the past system of training managers in the Soviet Union. However, the establishment, in December 1990, of the Soviet Association of Business Schools has begun to bring coherence into the provision of such training. Dr Manoukovsky believes the new Association has not been set up a moment too soon, since there is currently an explosion of demand for the services of qualified managers, and hence in the demand for their training.
