A European management programme: Joint venture management education
John Heptonstall
European Management Journal, 1991, vol. 9, issue 3, 306-310
Abstract:
The two-week Ashridge/CPA/USW joint European Management Programme was set up in 1989 aimed at senior managers. Later, EADA (Barcelona) joined the consortium. John Heptonstall describes the design philosophy of the programme, evaluates its teething problems, and suggests that the rich experience embodied in the course is allowing participants to modify their attitudes to consider themselves for the first time as 'European managers'.
