Abstract:
Since 1980, diversification of university funding sources has been an important trend in higher education all around the world. Obtaining non-governmental fund has been on the agenda of most universities. Top American universities have been long participants and beneficiaries of capital campaigns. The object of this study is to explore the characteristics and trends of fund-raising movement in top universities in the United States.
