Stratification and conflict – seeking understanding and spaces for optimism

Claire Maxwell

International Journal of Educational Development, 2019, vol. 71, issue C

Abstract: In this brief commentary, I reflect on the main themes that emerge across the papers published in this special issue. Despite the focus on Israel, I argue that the key findings have relevance to other contexts. This commentary seeks specifically to identify spaces for optimism in a context often categorised as highly stratified and engaged in an intractable conflict.
