Abstract:
•Study examined predictive validity of Wisconsin Instrument.•Through logistic regression, race and location found to be significant predictors of probation failure.•Demonstrated Wisconsin tool's distribution of predictive error by race using 2X2 contingency tables.•Race and location found to be significant predictors of probation failure.•Distribution of error should be considered when assessing predictive validity of a risk instrument.
