Variants of psychopathy in male and female civil psychiatric patients: Latent profile analyses of the MacArthur violence risk dataset

Steven M. Gillespie, Carlo Garofalo and Luna C.M. Centifanti

Journal of Criminal Justice, 2021, vol. 72, issue C

Abstract: Psychopathy is a multifaceted disorder of personality that gives rise to distinct profiles of scores across the interpersonal, affective, lifestyle, and antisocial features of the disorder. The identification of distinct profiles of psychopathic traits is of practical importance as they help to distinguish between patients with distinct areas of risk and need.
