Abstract: •LEAD is a pre-arrest diversion program for people in the community who use drugs.•We conducted a 4-site study of LEAD's influence on risk of justice involvement.•LEAD was associated with reductions in incidence of citations and arrests.•LEAD was not associated with reductions in incarceration risk.•This contributes to a body of evidence showing that LEAD reduces CJ risk.
