An incremental field plotting method for analogue computers

Abstract:
Instead of integrating with respect to time, some of the integrators become accumulators for space variables. The input to these integrators is switched at regular intervals to finite increments, which are meanwhile computed in analogue fashion from known differential equations, their boundary conditions and the approximate solution thus far.
