Abstract:
A hybrid program to perform the data reduction for flight analysis of a missile's warhead adaptation kit and fuze was developed, resulting in a better method for accomplishing this function. The adaptation kit includes a fuzing system which performs all safing and arming functions. It also includes a computer which must sense the forces at play in the missile warhead section, the distance along the trajectory, speed, drag, etc. It must know instantly if and when slight changes in these forces take place. Based on this computations, the fuze «tells the missile when its altitude is the proper level above the target for detonation of the warhead and effective destruction of that target.
