Abstract:
In order of the Laboratory of Chemical Technology, a hybrid model of a fixed-bed heat-exchanger with axial conductivity has been constructed and implemented. Special care has been taken to avoid computational instability due to a parabolic part in the partial differential equatione. The time needed for solution generation and the flexibility in use compare very favourable to numerical methoda. The obtained results are considered very satisfactory.
