Recent computer system developments and continuous system simulation

Abstract:
After a review of the respective merits of analog, hybrid and digital computation, the author gives an overview of the most recent developments in these different computing techniques. He concludes that the use of several digital minicomputers working in parallele under control of another minicomputer, and the development of new software implies a turn in the simulation field which indicates a decline of hybrid computing.
