Hybrid computer inversion of the prandtl — meyer function

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM), 1976, vol. 18, issue 4, 201-203

Abstract: In gas dynamics it is frequently necessary to solve for Mach number for a given Prandtl-Meyer angle from the well known Prandtl-Meyer function. Analytical methods are possible only for special cases o f the ratio o f specific heats. In this note a hybrid computer method for solving this problem is presented. The accuracy is comparable to the pure digital solution.
