Abstract:
Paper (Munyakazi et al. (2018)), related to numerical solutions of singularly perturbed problems with a single interior turning point having an interior power-of-type-2 layer, has gross inaccuracies in both estimates of solution derivatives and numerical experiments. The author of the current paper would like, first, to point out the blunders; second, to make necessary corrections; and, third, to describe new forms of non-exponential layers and welcome and encourage the authors to work more laboriously and persistently at studying and mastering problems with such layers.
