Abstract:
The paper refers to a mathematical model for a single species population growth, when significant hereditary influences are taken into account. The solution for the nonlinear equation is obtained via optimal control theory from the solution of a linear equation. The method is subject to many generalization.. We applied it successfully to a form of Boltzmann equation. fa]The paper has been given at the IMACS Symposium on Simulation of Control Systems. An abridged form – two pages of results – has been published in the Proceedings of the Symposium. Despite the same title and subject, the paper here is sensible different from the one given at the Symposium, Vienna, 1978.
